THE NEIGHBORHOOD
From 1840, the city of Treviso was built to accommodate bourgeois families. At the time, it was closed by gates at both ends.
In the small English square in the middle of the city, several sycamore maples have been planted. The lovely fountain is adorned with three nymphs holding hands: it would be inspired by the work of sculptor Germain Pilon. In summer, the amazing calm that reigns in the city is barely disturbed by the water that flows from the fountain.
At 14, was also the seat of the Société des Gens de Lettres after its founding in 1838 by Honoré de Balzac, George Sand, Victor Hugo and Alexandre Dumas.
